Broadway Songs For Quarantine

So yeah, Quarantine has been rough on all of us. Broadway is closed. Schools and shows have been canceled. Sometimes we need a laugh.

So here we go with the telling of quarantine through Broadway showtunes.

  • “Pandemonium” from 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

    • Honestly, “life is pandemonium.”

  • “Never Ever Getting Rid Of Me” from Waitress

    • COVID-19 is just laughing in a corner, isn’t it.

  • “Sky High” from Disaster!

    • Oh, imagine if this pandemic was taken seriously from the beginning.

  • “The Whiskey Song” by Joe Iconis

    • Anyone else?

  • “Ya Got Trouble” from The Music Man

    • You know when you see posts from people that are just spreading false information or just anything that Trump tweets and it reminds you of when Harold Hill said that a pool hall is going to lead to children doing drugs.

  • “I’m Breaking Down” from Falsettos

    • Again, anyone else?

  • “Gotta Get Out of Here” from Lizzie

    • I know quarantine is for our safety, but I cannot wait until we can gather safely again.

  • “Lonely Town” from On The Town

    • Everyone is inside. People feel alone. You know. All the feelings.

  • “Where Are All The People” from Chaplin

    • Going outside like…

  • “Skype Tomorrow” from We Are The Tigers

    • Let me know if you find a Zoom song lol

  • Most of the Avenue Q soundtrack

    • Mainly, “I Wish I Could Go Back to College,” “There Is Life Outside Your Apartment,” “I’m Not Wearing Underwear Today,” & “The Internet Is For Porn.”

Honorable mentions include: “Dyin’ Aint So Bad” from Bonnie & Clyde and “You Gotta Die Sometimes” from Falsettos but I thought that they might be too dark. Lol.

Hehe, but seriously, I hope everyone is staying safe during this crazy time. Stay home as much as possible, together we can flatten the curve. Do not lose hope, Broadway and theaters will be reopening soon! But it is more important that everyone stays safe!

Keep on creating!

Love,
